The Love

It all started in September of 2007 when we were Juniors at Stonehill College. Our roommates had met at a party and started dating so Andrew would always come over to our room when his roommate would hang out with mine. The four of us would have so much fun, but at that point it was more of a friendship since neither of us was really looking for a relationship. The following semester I was planning on studying abroad in Florence, Italy and I think Andrew was enjoying the single life. Anyways after a few weeks of hanging out and actively trying not to fall for one another we soon became inseparable. We decided to try to make the long distance thing work while I was in Italy and said that it would be a good test for the future since Andrew was an ROTC student so the Army and a long distance relationship would be our reality if we were to continue the relationship down the road. Needless to say, we made it through Italy (Andrew even visited me for a week and a half on his spring break) and now it is nice to know going into long separations that we CAN do long distance! It was a good trial run for us!

I once read a quote in “The Guardian” by Nicholas Sparks which perfectly describes our relationship:

"She was good for him and vice versa. As friends would often say; they were too busy laughing together to ever argue."
